In the region there are hundreds of libraries who would grately benefit from having more good books and multimedia on Islam, Muslims, and Muslim contributions to the world to add to their collections. The Horizon Library Project (HLP) is an initative organized by the Council on American-Islamic Relations in St. Louis (CAIR-STL) to provide a wider diversity of books and multimedia to libraries about Islam and Muslims. Many libraries have outdated materials and are real need to diversify and add to their collections.

How it Works:

CAIR-STL provides libraries with books and dvds about Islam and Muslims by well known authors and foundations. The libraries then add these books to thier collections so they can be checked out by the community.

What Books & Multimedia do you Provide:

Books:

-The Study Quran: A New Translation and Commentry

-Thomas Jefferson Quran

-In the Footsteps of the Prophet

-What Everyone Needs to Know About Islam

Multimedia:

-Enemy of the Reich: A Muslim Women Defies the Nazis

-Islamic Art: Mirror to the Invisible World

-Inside Islam What a Billion Muslims Actually Think

-Muhammad Legacy of a Prophet

How Can I Help:

By donating $150 to the HLP you will supply a library with all four books and four dvds. One of our team members will hand deliever them to the library and speak to the librarians one on one about each piece so the staff is better informed about the works that are being donated to them. Our goal is to provide materials to all libraries in the entire region.

To donate write a check for $150 to CAIR-STL and in the memo write Library Project and mail that to 8945 Dunn Rd, Hazelwood MO 63042.
